The Rim Rock Roamers was founded as a Chapter of the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) in 1999 by visionary individuals seeking to build lasting friendships and RV experiences in the Central Oregon area.
We are celebrating our 24th year in 2023, and typically hold monthly rallies from May to October. Our favorite destinations include the Oregon Coast, Willamette Valley, Columbia River Gorge, and trips into Washington State. We attempt to stay within a 250-mile radius of Central Oregon, although occasionally we travel to further locations. Most of our membership is retired, although we welcome anyone looking to get out and enjoy the RV lifestyle. Our members not only reside in the Bend/Redmond area, but also the Mid-Willamette Valley, and Portland/Vancouver metro.
Our rallies are usually either three or four days in duration, often over a weekend. We normally stay in private RV parks and utilize their social room (out of the weather) for our activities. Many of our members arrive early or stay over beyond the rally dates to further explore the local area. We like to potluck, have dinner out, take excursions of all kinds, have specialty cook-offs, go fishing or exploring, and hang out visiting with each other.
We focus on enjoying each other and having fun. Many warm and long-lasting friendships have developed over the years. We are a very friendly group and look forward to meeting and getting to know new members, and members from other FMCA Chapters.
